MY INTRODUCTION TO STEEMIT

Greetings steemians, my name is Osieje Remen David, am from esan north local government area of Edo State in Nigeria. Am a petroleum engineer and also a lover of pets. its a great pleasure and preveleige to be among great steemians and since i joined i have met wonderful people and also read through some great articles and seen amazing sites of places and countries all over the world. From my experiences so far, this platform is one of the best social media sites in the world. The most exiting part of it is that you get paid for making posts and curation as well. i want to use this medium to appreciate @sebastiaaan for introducing this platform.

Due to my love for pets i also take care and treat pets as a vet doctor part time. The pain of the death of my first pet pearl was so much that i have to learn how to take proper care of pets.

So stick around my blog if you have a pet or interested in getting one anytime soon as i would be writing some articles on how to maintain your pets. Also i would be sharing some secrets on caring for dogs and some breeds that you havent seen or heard of before.

1. Keep your passwords safe: Unlike conventional sites, Steemit has 4 types of passwords. Each offers varying degrees of access to your account, so know where and when to use each of them. Also, make sure to keep them all safe and secure.
2. Get Steem rewards: When writing a post, you'll have the option to choose how to receive your reward: "Default 50%/50%" or "Power Up 100%". As of this moment, choosing Default 50%/50% is the better option. But this can change over time. Check our post to know more.
3. Upvote wisely: When upvoting, wait at least 30 minutes after the post is published to maximize your curation reward. Also, make sure not to upvote too much too fast so as not to drain your voting power.
4. Know your Steem, Steem Dollars and Steem Power: Steem and Steem Dollars are the 2 main currencies here. Convert and power up more Steem into Steem Power so you can have higher values on your upvotes.
