Two months ago I found a russian version of Steem and my first purpose was just to get some money and exchange for bitcoins, since I didn't want to transfer "real" money into virtual.
But then I found it really entertaining and met people I like to speak with, even sometimes to have a little quarrel with :))
And I've got the idea of the platform and its economics and now it works to diversify my cryptocurrencies and have a deposit in SteemPower and GolosPower.
So, this first coming for money is ok, then the whole world can be revealed with friends and social ties.
