INTRODUCING MYSELF. Arthur Robins .
I am a full time Fine Artist, making a living from the sale of my art exclusively since 1987. Before that i made custom cabinets and custom furniture in my own woodworking shop in Manhattan NYC, to support my art. 
I make paintings, drawings, sculpture, prints, music and videos. I also write and act. I have hundreds of different approaches to my art, hundreds of kinds of styles, techniques and subjects. I write about many different things, as well as have over 100 hours of original music recorded on tape. When i successfully transfer it to digital, which hasn’t been done yet, I would like to share some here. There seems to be an honest and sincere interest in process here so i will share my processes as well, since many are unique. For example,I believe i am the only person in the world who makes sculpture out of thousands of pieces of wet and dry oil paint. ![0388.jpg] Some of my painting subjects include Cityscapes from on site drawings, Cityscapes from Memory, Cityscapes from Dreams, Biblical images, Surreal Visions, Imaginary Landscapes, Pool Rooms, paintings of Heaven and Hell, and many others. Most of my videos are on tape still but some are on youtube. I am blessed to have the largest studio i ever had, separate but next to my own large house..jpg)

) I lived in New York City for 40 years and got tired of the lack of space. So I settled in the Poconos for more space.

It is hard to find real appreciation of and understanding of art and artists. I see that this place seems to have a heart for both and more than a superficial understanding and interest. My art comes from a place in my Mind where Reality, Imagination, Memory and The Dream World meet. All my art comes from there. I am happy to share it here. Hello! I lived in NYC for 10 years and then in Woodstock for 25 years - as an artist. I attended the School of Visual Arts - graduated in 1985... I moved to denver in 2006 for more space and lower rent but now denver is just like Manhattan. Welcome to steemit - In the 2 years I have been here the people here have helped me push my creativity beyond bounds I could not have imagined! Enjoy! i pretty much live with the lack of understanding of art and artists daily, but I have come to accept it as part of the current time but I get it on here.
