I am a FARMER and I want to tell everyone that the best time to start your own FARM is now!

in #introduceyourself8 years ago (edited)

I'm Ronald Jay Rama, 34 years of age, married and have 2 very beautiful kids.

I was born of a Father and Mother who grew up in a farm. This maybe is the reason why I love planting and raising animals.

I studied Bachelor of Arts in English, took up Masters in Public Administration, and attended Law School.

I worked as a Teacher, Legal Researcher, Government Staff, Documenter, and IT practitioner.

I love farming since I was a kid. But I grew up in the city for what they call "best education".

I had always promised to my self that someday I will start my own farm.

What do I get from it?

  1. Freedom

a. I can manage my own time. I can spend more time with my wife and kids.

b. Food is free and available all the time.

c. I am free to wear anything I want.

  1. Good Health

a. I can sleep well.

b. I eat healthy food.

c. Exercise has become part of the job.

  1. Higher Income

a. I spend less yet get more. I get my own food for free and will get money from people that buy food/crops from me.

b. Food prices have always been going up.

c. Farm resources can sometimes be free through government and private company assistance with a predetermined market for the products produced.

You will get use to it. It's a matter of time and practice, glad to have you here

Welcome to steemit Ronald jay. We're both born and grown in farm. I used to plant rice back then, the experience nobody can take away from us. Shout outs to those farmers.

thanks @elemar ....I so happy and glad to meet you here at Steemit

I wish you a lot of luck with your farm (and your steemit account, too!). Welcome :)

thanks so much jenlavallee...this steemit seems new to me...i know I can get the hang of it soon...

I'm new around here too...I'm verrrrry slowly starting to pick things up here and there ;)

wow!!! I'll go ahead and check your posts....

I agree with all of your points. And freedom is SO important ... relying on other people to support you is always risky, but if you build something for yourself, you can be sure to thrive. :)

indeed....even if there is no money we can survive

i agree with you! my goal is to have an aquaponics farm within the next 5 years. my wife an i are both from families who farmed at some point and both of us were "city girls" for a while before getting tired of the daily grind. i hope to see more from you and see what you are doing to get the best experience. thank you for posting.

thanks so much @partrician1...I'm gonna follow you on this...and hope you follow me too...

It sounds like you have a pretty amazing, self sufficient life!

Welcome to steemit! :)

Awesome man. We need more young farmers. One of my best friends recently retired from being a flight attendant to become a full time farmer. I'm also planning to build a cacao farm within the decade. Good luck bai!
