I 'echo' your sentiment here @natepower . RT in 'my' opinion, is a more respectful news source than any of their counter parts here in the U.S. at this time.
So cool to run across you on RT, hopefully more people start boycotting Facebook and make their way to censorship free Steemit!
I haven't signed into FB for about two years, and two years before then...
Hopefully, Steemit decides to 'better support' the 'users experience' here, or they will continue to be less attractive to new people.

I hope you will cover cryptocurrency related news on RT like Bitcoin and even Steem + Steemit Inc.
I highly recommend that RT invests in Steem and convert it to Steem Power. A position of 1 Million + SP would be a force to reckon with and would supply constant marketing on the Steem blockchain without having to spend any of your investment! 😊👍

I am in favor of freedom of speech and freedom in general but American society is definitely not in favor of free speech. If anything.. it is paid speech in the United States with massive amounts of censorship (the censorship in the U.S. is increasing every year).

Russia seems to be more savvy than the U. S. Government with Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in general and I also think they are the ones that bought $100 Million USD in Bitcoin in a single buy last week - if it was them, they might follow it up next month and there after every month with another $100 million USD in Bitcoin purchases.

You and I agree strongly regarding decentralization. We also agree that government is based on theft, as far as I can grasp from your comment. As to geopolitics, I'm not sure that the support you point out is ideological rather than realpolitik in nature. Russia has enemies, and those enemies also support particular governments I am sure we also will agree aren't shining examples of virtue.
That means Russia needs friends, and there's a very real truth to the old adage 'The enemy of my enemy is my friend.' Not sure such necessities imply that Russia is Communist and won't invest money in Steem - or anything else.
China is actually Communist and they do plenty of investing. BTW, if you're calling me a Socialist, you could not be further from the truth. I am damn glad to see you here, at last. Rampant censorship is creating existential threats to free people, and while you won't read that I consider you the cure, you are part of the cure: diversity, decentralization, and independent sources of information. Clearly, you have an agenda, but since that agenda is different to other media I have access to, I am availed of information that enables me to expand my understanding and grasp of issues you treat, or even only peripherally impact.
In this day and age of state-sponsored terrorism, that may well be life-saving. Too few people grasp that not having good information can not only kill you, it can kill your whole family, community, and entire nations. While I will not expect you to have no agenda, I will expect quality sourcing of your posts. I hope also very much to see at least some engagement from you with we plebs on Steem.

I'd also welcome other groups and institutions I vehemently disagree with, such as the Atlantic Council, CNN, the KKK, Black Panthers, LGTBBQ, and etc., because dialogue is where the ideas people believe can be supported, and minds can be changed. It is censorship, ignorance, and hate that causes the divisions in society that profiteers use as weapons to parasitize our wealth and power to aggrandize themselves, and keep us in their thrall.
If your ideas are sound and you can clearly support them, I will agree with you, even if you're a troll. IDC if you're a troll. I care if you're right. Neither will I enable you to learn that some things you have thought to be true aren't, because my beliefs are sound and superable, and insofar as they oppose yours, are the only way you can become right where you're not.
