Un día en la mañana como las 8:00 am, estas con otras personas reunidas, desconocidos en su mayoría, algunos ya los tratas porque no es la primera vez que están en esa situación, todos con un objetivo en común… competir , así demostrando todo lo que tienes, el esfuerzo ,el compromiso que todos desean.

No tienes un equipo que te respalde, cuando mucho representaras a un grupo, pero en ese momento… Estas solo y sientes las miradas, enfocadas en ti y al pequeño grupo que te acompaña, Intentas decir unos chistes malos o hablar con el contrincante del lado para controlar los nervios que cada uno comparte, sabiendo que dentro de unos segundos, serán contrincantes.

Te llaman y escuchas decir “100 metros estilo Mariposa”, el corazón se te acérela, todos callan, el publico calla… te preparas para lanzarte al agua, tu equipo y tu familia te miran tranquilo pero tu corazón recorre toda la adrenalina posible, tus pulmones aumentan su capacidad, tus músculos se endurecen y cerebro comienza a divagar entre pensamientos positivos y negativos, como: “¿Lograre terminar?”, “ Soy el más rápido, si podre” , “ Y si te cansas en medio camino?”, “Entrene mucho para esto” , “ El del carril central es más rápido”, “ Estoy al lado de él, si es más rápido , tendrá que probarlo” , Una constante lucha… hasta que todo comienza y te lanzas…

Aquí vamos.

One day in the morning like 8:00 am, you are with other people meeting, mostly strangers, some you already treat them because it is not the first time they are in that situation, all with a common goal ... compete, thus showing all you have, the effort, the commitment that everyone wants.

You don't have a team to back you up, at most you will represent a group, but at that moment... You are alone and you feel the looks, focused on you and the small group that accompanies you, you try to tell some bad jokes or talk to the opponent on the side to control the nerves that each one share, knowing that in a few seconds, they will be opponents.

They call you and you hear them say "100 meters butterfly style", your heart starts to beat, everyone is silent, the audience is silent... you get ready to jump into the water, your team and your family look at you calmly but your heart is running as much adrenaline as possible, your lungs increase their capacity, your muscles harden and your brain starts to wander between positive and negative thoughts, like: "Will I make it?", "I am the fastest if I can","¿And if you get tired in the middle? ", "I trained hard for this", "The one in the center lane is faster", "I'm next to him, if he's faster, he'll have to try it", A constant struggle... until everything starts and you throw yourself...

!Hola a todos!

Sinceramente no se por donde comenzar, supongo que por el comienzo, solo me lanzare a la aventura de describirme para ustedes, lo único que mi mente dice es “Se tu mismo” un poco cliché ¿no? , supongamos que estamos frente a frente en una conversación entre amigos, así se nos hace más fácil a los dos de conocernos.

¿Quién soy?

Creo que lo común es comenzar por mi nombre: Me llamo Diego Alejandro Santacruz , así me coloco mi madre ,¡Diego! por un ingeniero argentino que trabajo con mi padre en el gigante asiático.

¿De dónde vengo?

Mi padre de origen colombiano, trabajador y buen hombre, aunque testarudo y gruñón se enamoro de mi madre, de origen venezolano, llanera de gran corazón y humildad, una espectacular mujer y dieron a concebir a este muchacho un poco nervioso. Soy el menor de tres hermanos, Soy de Venezuela, tengo 22 años y considero que para mi edad, tengo la suerte de haber obtenido grandes experiencias a pesar de mi corta vida, sean buenas o malas aprendí algo de todas ellas.

Cumplo el 20 de diciembre, Soy sagitario. ¿Saben? es gracioso que sepa mi signo zodiacal, gracias a mi hermana y mi madre que tienen estas creencias , yo soy más creyente a lo que veo y experimento, aunque no rechazo su motivos , sería algo absurdo rechazar algo que no tienes ni pruebas para refutarlo, me considero un hombre amante de la ciencia , abierto a todo tipo de conocimientos, respetando a todo tipo de creencia… sería muy aburrido si todo el mundo fuera igual, agradezco que todos seamos diferente, lo único que tenemos que ser es bueno con las personas.

¿Qué me gusta y que hago?

Me encanta la astronomía, la luna, las galaxias, los quásar, tanto que coloque mi nombre en un rover que llegara a marte del 2021!, Se que quizás no pueda ir a Marte, pero al menos mi nombre lo logro.

I honestly don't know where to start, I guess at the beginning, I'll just throw myself into the adventure of describing myself to you, the only thing my mind says is "Be yourself" a bit of a cliché isn't it? Let's say we are face to face in a conversation between friends, that way it is easier for both of us to get to know each other

Who am I?
I believe that the common thing is to begin by my name: My name is Diego Alejandro Santacruz, so I place my mother, Diego! by an Argentine engineer who worked with my father in the Asian giant.

Where do I come from?
My father, of Colombian origin, a hard worker and a good man, although stubborn and grumpy, fell in love with my mother, of Venezuelan origin, a llanera (countrywoman) with a big heart and humility, a spectacular woman and gave birth to this boy who was a little nervous. I am the youngest of three brothers, I am from Venezuela, I am 22 years old and I consider that for my age, I am lucky to have obtained great experiences despite my short life, whether good or bad I learned something from all of them.

I'm turning 20 December, I'm a Sagittarius, you know? It's funny that I know my zodiac sign, thanks to my sister and my mother who have these beliefs, I am more a believer in what I see and experience, although I do not reject their motives, it would be absurd to reject something that you have no evidence to refute, I consider myself a man who loves science, open to all kinds of knowledge, respecting all types of beliefs ... would be very boring if everyone was equal, I appreciate that we are all different, all we have to be is good with people.

What do I like and what do I do?
I love astronomy, the moon, the galaxies, the quasars, so much that I put my name on a rover that will reach Mars in 2021, I know I may not be able to go to Mars, but at least my name made it.

Ok, volviendo a temas más terrenales. Estudio Ingeniera en la Universidad Central de Venezuela (U.C.V), una prestigiosa universidad destruida por la situación que ocurre en Venezuela, evitare hablar de eso… Soy un estudiante promedio, no poseo notas excelentes comparado con el resto de mis compañeros (Eso creo) , si dios quiere dentro de 1 año (aproximadamente) estaré graduándome.

Manejo el idioma del ingles, ¡Sí! , algo sorpréndete para mí, ya que fui uno de los primeros en reusarme a mi padre en aprender un idioma, desconocía mis habilidades lingüísticas y se me hizo notablemente sencillo el idioma al hablar, moderamente complicado al escribirlo. ¡Me falta solo 5 meses para recibir mi titulo de bilingüe! , algo que me costó mucho conseguir no tanto por el esfuerzo académico (la cual no minimizo), si no por el costo económico que mis padres y mi persona tuvieron que sacrificar. Pretendo seguir perfeccionando mi manejo del idioma y aprender otro más, Francés quizás o portugués.

Como observaron en la foto del comienzo, me gusta la natación, mejor dicho me gusta el deporte, es una las formas de desestresarme, de superarme y motivarme, soy una persona en parte inquieta y competitiva.

Esto de la natación comenzó cuando tenía 12 años, ¡mi madre me obligo a entrar!, tenía un pánico terrible al agua por un evento traumático en ella, gracias a unos amigos de aquel tiempo me ayudaron a superar mi miedo y eventualmente a convertirme en un buen nadador, dedique 8 años de mi vida a la natación. Viaje por diferentes estados de Venezuela y competí en diversos sitios, gane diversas medallas, pero eso es lo de menos, me gustaba la idea de que cuando vas a una competencia por muy lejos que fuera, encontrabas a un conocido contrincante y hablabas en todo ese tiempo. El ambiente era muy espectacular. Participe tanto que tengo una foto con nadadoras olímpicas venezolanas, las hermanas Pinto. Uno foto un tanto vieja tenía como unos 14 años.

Okay, back to more earthly issues. I am studying Engineering at the Universidad Central de Venezuela (U.C.V), a prestigious university destroyed by the situation in Venezuela, I will avoid talking about that... I am an average student, I do not have excellent grades compared to the rest of my classmates (I think so), if God wants in 1 year (approximately) I will be graduating.

I am fluent in English, yes! I was one of the first to refuse my father to learn a language, I did not know my language skills and I found the language remarkably simple to speak and moderately complicated to write, I am only 5 months away from receiving my bilingual degree! This is something that I had a hard time achieving, not so much because of the academic effort (which I do not minimize), but because of the economic cost that my parents and I had to sacrifice. I intend to continue improving my language skills and learn another language, perhaps French or Portuguese.

As you saw in the photo at the beginning, I like swimming, or rather I like sports, it is one of the ways to de-stress, to improve and motivate myself, I am a person who is partly restless and competitive.

This swimming thing started when I was 12 years old, my mother forced me to go in, I was terribly afraid of the water because of a traumatic event in it, thanks to some friends of that time who helped me overcome my fear and eventually become a good swimmer, I dedicated 8 years of my life to swimming. I traveled through different states in Venezuela and competed in various places, won various medals, but that is the least of it, I liked the idea that when you go to a competition no matter how far it was, you would find a well-known opponent and you would talk in all that time. The atmosphere was very spectacular. I participated so much that I have a photo with Venezuelan Olympic swimmers, the Pinto sisters. i was like about 14 years old.

Aclarando lo del párrafo anterior, me gusta es los deportes INDIVIDUALES, donde no tienes la posibilidad de lanzar la culpa al compañero, si fracasas eres tú y si quieres eres mejorar es tu responsabilidad.

Participe no solo en natación, tengo conocimientos básicos de boxeo y artes marciales, intente aprender todo lo posible mientras se me daba la oportunidad.

Clarifying the previous paragraph, I like is the INDIVIDUAL sports, where you do not have the possibility of throwing the blame to the partner, if you fail is you and if you want to be better is your responsibility.

I participated not only in swimming, but I also have basic knowledge of boxing and martial arts, I tried to learn as much as possible while I was given the opportunity.

¿Como llegue aquí y que pretendo hacer?

Me entere de esta comunidad, gracias a mi hermana Ana Maria @Soyunasantacruz , ella ha dedicado un tiempo considerable en esto y me motivo a participar “aprovechando la pandemia”, según palabras de ella.

Esta pandemia es algo inesperado en la humanidad, bueno gracias a ella, me he tomado el tiempo de mejorar mi físico, aprender nuevos movimientos, no les voy a enseñar natación por este medio y menos en estos tiempos je je , pero si a intentar tener un físico de un peleador tipo de artes marciales mixtas ,quiero que ustedes me acompañen a tener físico envidiable y a sentirnos mejor que nunca.

No les tomara mucho tiempo, yo dedico 1 hora diaria, y los cambios son impresionantes (intentare subir fotos actualizadas de los cambios), combino el estilo del CrossFit , juntos a movimientos de combate.

¿Por qué CrossFit?. Creo yo que CrossFit utiliza el mínimo de herramientas para lograr resultados y si no tienen la posibilidad de ir a un gimnasio pueden realizar ejercicios de mayor intensidad en sus casas. ¡Todo está en la mente amigo!

How did I get here and what do I intend to do?

I learned about this community, thanks to my sister Ana Maria @Soyunasantacruz , she has dedicated considerable time to this and motivated me to participate "taking advantage of the pandemic", in her words.

This pandemic is something unexpected in humanity, well thanks to her, I have taken the time to improve my physique, learn new movements, I will not teach you swimming by this means and less in these times ha ha, but if you try to have a physique of a fighter type of mixed martial arts, I want you to accompany me to have an enviable physique and feel better than ever.

It will not take you long, I dedicate 1 hour a day, and the changes are impressive (I will try to upload updated photos of the changes), I combine the style of CrossFit, together with combat movements.

Why CrossFit?. I believe that CrossFit uses the minimum of tools to achieve results and if they don't have the possibility of going to a gym they can do higher intensity exercises at home. It's all in the mind, my friend!

Les enseñare a lanzar golpes y a defenderse, a ser rápidos y resistentes. No para que peleen en las calles, recuerden que el mejor de los combates es no combatir. Aprendemos juntos y nos mejoraremos mutuamente.

Ese es mi principal objetivo, posiblemente también me enfoque en la astronomía y mis conocimientos otorgados gracias mis estudios, tanto como en ingeniera como en idiomas.

Eh!, casi se me olvida, también me encantan los videojuegos, demasiado diría yo, podría también enfocarme en esto. Incluso organizarnos y jugar todos juntos! , ya en mi mente me llega Among Us.

I will teach them to throw punches and defend themselves, to be fast and resistant. Not to fight in the streets, remember that the best fight is not to fight. We learn together and we will improve each other.

That is my main objective, possibly I also focus on astronomy and my knowledge granted by my studies, both as an engineer and in languages.

Hey, I almost forgot, I also love video games, too much I would say, I could also focus on this. I could even organize and play all together! In my mind, it already comes to me Among Us.
