A big ‘Thank You' for stopping by to read my first post on Steemit (if indeed you or anybody is reading this post).
Please allow me to use my first post on Steemit to explain why I am starting to write and share my thoughts with you - not that you asked me to explain why I am doing this or asked for my opinion on anything*.
I am writing because I have decided that it is time I started to actually do what I have been saying to myself that I will do. For a long time, I have been meaning to write about things that I ponder every so often (or repeatedly) over varying lengths of time through the days, months, and years. The hope is to actually put down the many thoughts that are rattling around in my head down (to put pen to paper - metaphorically speaking) - instead of just keeping them locked away in the abyss of my mind. These thoughts will no doubt span various subjects - sometimes independent of one another and at other times interlinking with one another. They may or may not make sense to you, or be about things you care about [advance notice - I will write about politics, social causes, parenting, relationships, tech, blockchain/cryptos/Bitcoin, etc...]. My posts/writing will be more for me than anyone else (self-induced therapy) - but I hope it will not be completely lacking in value to everyone who may read my posts.
It would be easy (and a lie) for me to say that I have not written sooner due to a hectic family and work life. Whilst it is true that I do have a truly hectic family and work life - I have had opportunities to write down my thoughts also. I have honestly just been lazy (it is easier to think and talk about these things than to actually write them down). What I have not had is the drive to write - until this point that is. If I am being honest, I just preferred to get some rest (either in bed or in front of the TV) - due to the hectic life (and laziness). So now I am just doing it. No doubt there will be many a stumbling block - but I will try to keep on it. I will just get the words out there and hope I can put them in a meaningful order.
Finally - as you might have already realised, I am not a professional writer. If you decide to return and read some of my posts (or you have read a post I have written and are now trying to figure out ‘which random mind did this weird post come from) please bear with my ramblings, spelling mistakes and grammatical errors - I will try to keep them to a minimum (but you have been advised). I will try to get better at constructing and ordering my thought so they are easier to read and understand.
