Hi @claudiop63, nice post; upvoted. As you are a veteran of CERN, I wonder what your thoughts are on BOINC distributed computing projects like lhc@home, vlhc@home and ATLAS@home, do you run any of those experiments on your own PCs?
Also as a crypto aware person I wonder if you would be interested in Gridcoin which rewards for completing tasks for those and many other areas of science like protein/genome/desease research, clean energy, mathematics, artificial intligence etc.
If you arent aware of these things you may be interested in them, you could design a project to answer one of your needs and reward people to process it for you. Good luck.

Hi @scalextrix, thanks. I am aware of BOINC, but to be honest I have not followed their projects in the last few years. I do see strong potential synergies between cryptos and distributed, volunteer computing... the two concepts resonate on the same wavelength, so Gridcoin makes a lot of sense to me.
