Hello again,
My first post of introduction was more of an overview of my gaming life. This of course is not all I am.
Life started in Edmonton Alberta, and was my home growing up. Lots of fun during my youth there. Summers were spent on the golf course, playing in the woods or river, hunting golf balls in the bushes, working all aspects of a golf course and of course playing the odd game here and there. If I had of know I could make $1M playing that game, I may have put more effort into being pro. As it was, I was with my dad when he was entertaining a friend and they said "If you know how a computer works, you will always have a job". I was 12 years old and that was the deciding factor for my job direction.
Went to tech school and not a university because my English writing skills were / are very bad. Graduated an Electronic and Instrumentation Eng. Tech. from NAIT. Got hired right out of school into electronic research. There I had access and used the latest technology to help produce communications equipment. Met my wife in Ottawa while on a work trip. This sealed my fate and I was living in Ontario, married, seven years later.
After years of working in the lab with hardware, I got an opportunity to change and move into a more software role testing digital logic. This was the best thing for my career that could have happened, because not many want to test things, most want to create. Testing is a harder job as it has to simulate everything that is not the thing being tested.
During all that time, the two children which my wife had before we married, have grown up. Each has had a child and I am getting a chance to experience the baby thing. As we all know time flies and the youngest is no longer a baby. A real joy have them around, watch them learn and grow.
So as to not repeat information, here is my other introduction post link:
