Welcome to steemit "nobody". :^)
Philosophy is one of my favorite areas to talk about...granted I have a hard time writing about it because it's hard for me to put abstract concepts in my head into words. But most of the time I spend my philosophical engine working on dissecting semantics and sentence functions, corroborating them with intended meaning outcomes and unintended meaning outcomes...pretty much just a structuralist's job. That's actually how I got my name; the combination of semantics and structuralism.
I don't get into metaphysical talks often, as I am a metaphysical existentialist and I conflict with the larger portion of...well, most people.
I can say right off the bat that I disagree with dualism, monism, and pluralism. :^)
Your assertion about self-improvement reminds me of Dr. Jordan Peterson's discussions about that very same topic. It's a nice sentiment to convey, and I think it's one that dislike the least, heh.
I haven't replied to anyone this long on their "introduceyourself"...so I think I'll stop here. I'm pretty excited to see what you'll bring to the table. I'm expecting some great things. ;P
Since you have managed to transfer the message (even though it took me a while:D), I see no problem with your ability to depict your thoughts. A lot of linguistics and psychology (and I bet many other things) seem to be going on in what you´re doing. That comes in handy and one might think, that it should actually help you to find a right word for the image in your mind, since you know (and have thought about) so many of them. When you want to understand something, you need to get to know how individual components work and how to put them together. So understanding the concept should help in that regard. Or does it really not?
Depends in who´s existentialist philosophy you believe the most but it looks like we´ll have a lot in common. Although the way I understand existentialism there will be some nuances between our understandings of the world nevertheless peaceful and intellectual conflicts are desired ;). I have no idea who Dr. Jordan Peterson's is but he has been added into my “Will-check-catalogue”. I don’t get what you mean by “and I think it's one that dislike the least, heh.”
I´ll also check what you´ve already brought to the table and from what I’ve seen yet, I´ll probably follow you. Let´s meet in discussions again!
I must agree here with @semantralist. Sometimes the more you understand something, the harder it feels to talk about it, because words are always just simplifications, abstractions, pointers to the objects you mean to convey. It's really a work of art to express yourself precisely.
