hi and welcome, I have one question.. is it really that bad and horrible to live in turkey ? because it seems a lot of people immigrate to country's like NL DE FR SW a lot, and they stay very close to the turks but have troubles to adopt to the country's they choosed above their own.. yet I saw a study which concluded 2/3 of turks in europe feel them selfs more turkish than european... especially generations born in europe.... what is going on.. I mean you must witness the mssive immigrations and what is the main reason to abandon your fatherland and trade it for a rich european country knowing what you are leaving behind and the struggle it takes to do it... I'm just curious because I live in a area with a lot of turks and sometimes it feels that I am foreigner in my own country... also a lot of turkish flags al the time... why do they do that what's the reason for that is there anything known about it or is there a plan to take over or something because that's what I start to feel... I'm just curious

First of all, they immigrated because of the economic issues. The first immigrants went to Europe as guest workers in the 60s. Then their families went there too and to this day, they have dreams of coming back home. It is not easy adapting to a different culture when you always feel unwanted.
One of the other major reasons for not adapting is because most of these workers who faced economic difficulties are from more rural, traditional and conservative areas of Turkey. Those people tend to be a little more clinging to their moral and religious values which are vastly different from the cultural values of Europe. These people also tend to vote for the ruling conservative party in Turkey, but don't come back because they prefer to live in Europe and take advantage of the welfare etc. there.
I too find this hypocritical but one should keep in mind that not everyone is part of this conservative eastern culture and not all immigrants are like the ones I mentioned above. Thanks for your interest.
