I just commented on your other post too, but I just read that you had done some metal casting.
Just today I started trying to make a small foundry/forge thing with sand, plaster and buckets. I'll make a post about it once I get it fired up, but I'd be stoked if you could let me know if I'm doing something wrong, or if I could be doing something better.

Thanks! I just checked out your blog also and followed / upvoted. Once my shop is done my son and I will be building a 20" or so diameter smelter to cast aluminum parts for a metal lathe. should be able to melt an engine block in 3 heats or so. our last smelter would not stay lit, too much pressure even with a regulator, I believe its our burner design needs redesigning. :)
