Howdy folks.

I live in the Pacific Northwest, write software (preferably in C++) for a living, and play a lot of video games when I am not working. I enjoy the outdoors, gardening (including growing my own cannabis), solar power, foreign languages, board games, beer and whiskey, playing the guitar / keys / brass / drums, taking shit apart and sometimes putting shit back together.

I have been on the Internet just long enough to remember before everyone was on it. I resent its current ubiquity, our dependence on it, and the general toxicity of most communities on it. Nevertheless, I approach this steemit thing with cautious optimism and hopefulness that it will resist current trends.

I'm a fan of cryptocurrency and the decentralization of power in general.
