1994
- Born - England, United Kingdom, (ambitiously assembled, made in China.)
1997
- Stopped crying when sleeping alone, (official big boy status achieved.)
1998
- Started School, (well.)
2000
- The birth of what is typically known in human dialects as a 'sibling'
2004
- Moved School, (not so good.)
2010
- First high school exams, (almost excellent.)
- Prozac.
2012
- Final high school exams, (disappointing.)
- 18th Birthday, (much better.)
- Began university - Imperial College London, BSc Biochemistry, (barely.)
- No more Prozac.
2013
- Lost weight. (I recommend the rowing machine, combined with copious amounts of not eating.)
2014
- I find 1 bitcoin that I bought a long time ago now worth $1000, (50% of money spent on Gin.)
- My favourite thing I have ever bought.
2015
- Finished degree one, upper second class honours, (just about.)
- Prozac again
- Began second degree - Imperial College London, MRes in Systems and Synthetic Biology.
- Six weeks tumbling through south east and east Asia.
2016
- Finished second degree, pass with Merit. (Much better.)
- No more Prozac, again.
2017
- Ten weeks blundering through Peru and Colombia.
- Steemit - The beginning. (See post 1.)
- Sept - To begin degree number 3. PhD in Synthetic and Computational Biology at the University of Edinburgh.
So that's me in a nutshell. Overly ambitious academics backed by talent that relies more on momentum than sheer ability. Gunning for a career in Science. Don't ask why, I couldn't say, but I like it enough that I have all the last bus times memorized.
Rather be a writer, but somehow the words went missing from my book. Unfortunately delusional enough to believe I have a chance, persevering enough to put in the work but also anxious enough to drag the eternal cloud of doubt with me all the way to the treadmill. The perfect storm for a Steemit blog.

Ah, you're great! And funny! I love the people here--just themselves. So refreshing after all the other platforms.
