My Hive Introduction

in #introduceyourself3 years ago (edited)

Hello my name is Andy and i really love it here on Hive so far.

I am 50 years old and i originally come from London but i left the UK in 1994 after the criminal justice bill kicked in and i travelled across Europe in an old bus with a load of other travellers attending Teknivals and Festivals along the way.

These were very special and magical times for me and i travelled through France Portugal, Spain and Morocco meeting so many amazing people along the way !

After several years i settled here in the South of Spain in a little town called Orgiva where i live off grid in an amazing community of Punks, Hippies, Artists and Musicians.

There has been travellers living here since the hippies of the 60's and it has become a popular destination for backpackers over the years.

For many years it was the location for the infamous Dragon Festival. This was the biggest free festival in Europe at the time.

Sadly the authorities put a stop to this after 2010 when it got way too big for this small mountain town.

Its very quiet here these days but we do still have the occasional party 😁

I originally found out about Hive through my very good friend and neighbour Graham @elricmoonslayer. Thanks dude.

After hearing him go on about how much cash he was making on Splinterlands so often i decided i should give it a go.

My interests include music, travelling, vintage cars, hiking, animals, tekno, teknivals, crypto, gardening and more.

I love music more than anything and i am a dj and producer of hard tekno music!

Some of my favourite producers are the Spiral Tribe crew - Crystal Distortion, IxyInDaMix, 69db etc.

I also love bands like The Chemical Brothers, Orbital, The Prodigy, Leftfield + The Orb.

I do love listening to all types of music to relax not just dance music such as Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, The Who, The Jam and The Smallfaces among many more.

This is my dog called Kaya. He was a rescue dog that someone brought over from the UK . He was a champion racing dog who had won 28 races before fallung and hurting his leg. The owner was about to put him down but my friend saved him and now he is my best friend 😊

I am here mainly to play and blog about @splinterlands but i also intend to create a blog about living off grid and also some musical posts.

I look forward to interacting with all the cool tribes here on Hive.

Thanks for reading, Andy.
