Un 24 de mayo en 1822 hace 196 años de la gesta libertaria donde nuestros patriotas comandados por el Venezolano Antonio José de Sucre el Gran mariscal de Ayacucho, ofrendaron su vida para consolidar la libertad de Ecuador del Yugo Español, este fue uno de los combates más importantes de la Guerra de Independencia latinoamericana.
