Hi Steemians! I'm a full stack web developer/designer who moved from Bronx, NY to Themiddleofnowhere, MI with my family to pursue a sustainable lifestyle in the country. I work from home designing and developing web apps and practice permaculture, gardening, and homesteading on a large property in the middle of the woods :D I play the guitar, write songs and poetry, and dabble in philosophy, economics, and the social sciences.
The Christian faith played a major role in my upbringing and early adult life, but I have recently graduated from religious dogma into a more open perspective. If I were to use labels, I would say I'm an agnostic atheist, but I have no interest in converting anyone this way or the other. Everyone is free to choose their own journey, I'd much rather dialog and learn from others than seek the affirmation of my own ideology.
There are many different fields of knowledge that I'm here to share and pursue, but my love for nature and my suspicion of our modern machined world is a common theme throughout my work and life. One moment I can find myself raptured in dystopian premonitions of the future, and the next day dreaming of the modern utopia that the disruptive technologies of blockchain, AI, and robotics can bring us. Still, at other times, I'll find myself mourning the loss of our earth's ancient ecosystems while lamenting songs out into the early succession forests that surround me. I'm a man haunted by the past and the future, trying to grasp a present that integrates both in a functional and intuitive way.
