Hello to all of my new Steemit friends! Just want to drop in and introduce myself. I am new to the whole crypto scene and I am very excited to learn from everyone here.
I am originally from Denton, TX but now reside in Denver, CO. I have worked mainly in the catering industry, a bit in the IT industry, then the self storage industry for a short while, but now I am between jobs/careers trying to figure life out a bit more before starting something new. You could say that I am at a bit of a crossroads.
I have only been on Steemit for a few days, but so far I am very excited about the diversity of topics and the stark differences in quality of content vs. , say Reddit or Facebook , of which I am not much of a fan of.
I am a big retro gamer and like to play a lot of Metroidvania 2D 8-bit type games as well as discover games on old systems that I didn't get to own when they were originally on the market. I just recently bought a PS2 and started collecting old PS2 games. I found some gems I may share soon. My favorite games of all time are Max Payne on PC and Super Dodge Ball on NES. I like movies, music, hot sauce and have recently become obsessed with becoming a pro crypto trading millionaire! Ha lame, I know, but I can always dream right!
I am just now learning about crypto trading/blogging and would love to hear what you guys wish you knew before you got started. What mistakes to avoid and such.
I am not really that big into talking about myself so I will sign off for now. Hope everyone has a great evening and thank you for welcoming me to this incredible platform.

Welcome to Steemit! I'm a bit of a retro-gamer myself. Mostly stuff like FFVII and Crash Bandicoot, or some old school stuff like that on PS1. Just can't seem to find the time to play like I used to...

I lived in Austin for a while too a few years ago. Was a cater waiter and a bar back. Ha ya catering was fun, boy do I have some stories, you should for sure write about yours too. I had a friend who worked for the TV station KHOU in Houston but she is in LA now and my cousin works for the major's office there in H-town! Houston is a pretty awesome, but oh man that traffic! Spent all last week watching KHOU and dodging the flood waters - thankfully we didn't have any, but it was all around us. Glad your friend wasn't here for it. I'm sure your cousin was SUPER busy last week. The mayor did an amazing job handling the hurricane. Hope your cousin didn't have any damages. Thanks for writing...i'll have some pics uploaded soon from Harvey. Appreciate the warm welcome! Your boy JJ sure been standing tall - he raised a ton of cash for relief efforts. I miss my PS2, had a bunch of great games for it but they were lost to time. And, by that, I mean someone was an asshole and threw them away, lol.
Hey thanks for the reply. Sorry someone trashed ur PS2. I picked mine up pretty cheap off Amazon if you wanted to dive back in! Got some great used games too for $5 bucks a pop! Long live retro gaming!
Yeah, I'm mostly pissed because I had all the Dot Hack games for it, and it's fucking impossible to buy those now unless you wanna spend a large amount of money. I was so obsessed with those games, can't even remember all the time I sunk into them.
I might consider it at some point, man! My girlfriend and I got an N64 for christmas last year, and we've been working on collecting games for that here and there, so I'll probably just do that for a bit first, haha.
Oh man! Ya dot hack games are hard to get a good price on for sure. N64 has some awesome games too. I suggest the Cruis'n series, San Francisco Rush series, Turok series + SuperMario 64 is my opinion one of the best Mario games of all time. Love those games. Cheers!
