Hello fellow Steemians
I thought I had better do an intro post ,My name is Chris .
I am originally from Australia but I am currently living in beautiful Phuket Thailand.I have been giving semi retirement a try for the last fifteen months and so far its kinda cool.
I supplement my income through trading the Australian stock exchange and other investments.
My main interests are health,food and finance.
I have just stumbled upon Steemit and i have already read some fantastic posts from people here.
About two years ago after being in the same job for about fifteen years, working up to fourteen hour a day and having my four weeks of holidays per year,I decided it was time for a change.
I had never been out of my country until about four years ago ,i went for my first trip to Thailand. That was how I got the travel bug.
Last year I did a bigger trip, I went to Singapore, London, Iceland, Canada, United states and then finished off in Costa rica. It took me six months and I loved every minute of it.
I started off with a beginner’s photography course in Brisbane so I could somehow work out the Nikon d7100 that I bought for my big trip.
Here is one of the first photos that I took at the end of the course.
It is a photo of Brisbane city in the early evening. Brisbane is the state capital of Queensland in Australia . It was taken from the south bank of the Brisbane river . Highly recommend Southbank if your in the area. I like that the people in the photo are just enjoying the view and the cool night air.
The main goal of the trip was to see the northern lights in either Iceland, Canada or Alaska.

I currently spend my free time sitting on lovely beaches , eating incredibly delicious and cheap Thai food and exercising to offset my Thai food addiction :) .
