Good choice. I quit getting drunk about 5 years ago and it turned my life around, seriously. That was one of the worst moments, waking up to not knowing exactly what you did, said to people, how you got home, why you ate an entire pizza 1 minute before passing out.. I'm glad those days are gone. Not that I haven't drank since then, but I don't drink to get drunk anymore. You're making a great decision.

Print this out and post it somewhere you can see it often or the idea may elude you by next weekend.

I'm glad you decided so. You're here for some reason! no more time wasted.
Find your purpose, in Steemit we're here to support as much as we can :)

I'm glad you came to realize you have a problem, now you can have the support you need with the Steemit community.

I never use to drink at all. Now for what ever reason it has become a weekend treat, that's not much of a treat. Haven't made up my mind to quit but I'm starting to think it would be a good idea. Thank you for giving me some inspiration

The timing is cool. While I'm never drunk, working from home does let you sip on a beer all day, and yep, a twelve pack can bite the dust if you get casual about it. There are lots of health implications. I only drink bottled, and from Holland, Germany or Belgium (purity standards) but still, that's too many per day no matter how you do it. I've cut down to zero before, then started back with a sane number like two or three a day (women should really stop at two) but it was creeping back up again, and my body was protesting - so this very morning I started the adjustment. Remember, if you follow up a beer with an hour drinking good water, your blood alcohol level resets to zero - and your life will change overnight. Congrats on your decision, and your bravery sharing your story. You got this.

Good luck with your transition. Steemit is a great diversion.

AA is a powerful tool in helping 1 to 24 hours at a TIME. I wish my husband had come to the same conclusion as you have, because then today my 3 kids would still have a father. RIP 5 years. Suicide.

Really glad you're taking the first steps to writing the ship.

I actually just posted about my depression and gambling addiction. Thankful I've been clean for nearly 3 years now.

Wishing you all the best, and know we support you!

Perfectly!
