I've received scam mails telling me that some rich person is dead and has put my name as next to kin and has left few million dollars in his account and I have to do nothing but sign papers come to Africa and take the money, all I have to do is send few hundred dollars to help that guy with the expenses of getting the papers ready.
I nearly fell for the first one but then I started receiving similar mails quite often and googled about such scams and I also found out that some of my friends were also receiving similar mails.
You've got to be careful. It's still pretty wild out there.
I receive these emails to ,I have help some of my friends ignore this kind of emails .
I read about this Nigerian who died. They found $25 billion in cash in his appartment. Apparently he had been trying to give it away, but nobody would answer his emails.
Seems he had no heirs. Now some African bank official is looking someone to stand-in as the guy's heir. He's willing to split the inheritance, 40% for you and 60% for him. All you have to do send him $500 by Western Union so he can pay for a certificate of, "Good, clean, clear, and of non-criminal origin".
You have to be careful of scams, but if you get an email from Africa about some millions which could come your way in return for a small up-front fee, then you'd better check it out. You never know, the boxes of money might start arriving.
Hahahahaha
