Assalamu 'alaikum wr. Wb.
Caring for a good Bahtsul Masail NU Online rubric, I have a two-year-old child. He often went to the mosque. Sometimes he runs in front of people who are praying. My question is, what is the law of bringing a child to the mosque? Thanks for the explanation. Assalamualaikum. Wr. Wb. (Viali).
Answer
Assalamu 'alaikum wr. Wb.
Dear questioners, may Allah SWT lower His grace to us all. Child education through exemplary is good built early on. Parental worship activities are good views to imitate the child from an early age. Moreover, closer the children to the mosque will be a memory that should be planted as early as possible.
It's just that the scholars provide signs that need to be considered parents. This consideration is intended for the mosque as a place of worship is not reduced value. Here we quote the statement of Shaykh Abu Zakariya Al-Ansari.
It means, "(Children are prohibited ...) Walid An-Nasyiri issued a fatwa that teaching children in the mosque is a good thing. Children are free to enter the mosque since the era of the Prophet Muhammad SAW lived up to now without question. Opinions that claim makruh of the entry of children into the mosque is not applied absolutely. This confusion applies only to children who have not mumayyiz unencumbered worship and intent to him. But the rewards of teaching children exceed the reduction of rewards because of the law of makruh children entering the mosque, "(Shaykh Zakariya Al-Ansari, Asnal Mathalib Syarhu Raudhatit Thalib, Juz 3, page 108).
The above description divides the children into two categories. First, mumayyiz (a child who has distinguished good and bad, and has understood the language or rules). The second is not mumayyiz, a child who has not been able to weigh good and bad (usually a child under the age of five).
Law makruh only falls on a child who has not mumayyiz feared to contaminate the mosque because they do not understand, worried they throw dirt unexpectedly. However, this can be anticipated with a dense pampers. In addition, children who have not mumayyiz before can receive a warning to calm so as not to interfere with the activities of other visitors prayer. This is a hassle. Therefore scholars declare makruh.
It is good there is a special mosque room parents who bring minors with a tight bandage guarantee. Creating a "child-friendly mosque" does require management readiness, spatial planning, and high awareness throughout the congregation. Though underage children also have the right to use against the mosque.
Our advice, give exemplary prayers for children at home or in the back of the mosque so that the child also does not interfere with other congregations. Parents should ensure the sanctity of the mosque by providing security for children through tight pads.
That's what we can say. Hopefully it can be understood well. We are always open to receiving suggestions and criticism from our readers.
Wallahul muwaffiq ila aqwamith thariq,
Wassalamu'alaikum wr. Wb.
