The 17th death anniversary of Pakistani pop singer Nazia Hassan is being observed today.
Nazia started her music career at the age of 10 and became one of the most prominent singers in Pakistan, India and abroad. She received numerous national and international awards including Pakistan’s highest civilian award and Pride of Performance.Fans remember Nazia and her brother, Zoheb Hassan, as the sensations that transformed popculture in the country and made waves at home and abroad, especially across the border.
Nazia was 35 years old when she died due to lung cancer. Her famous hits among others were Dil ki Lagi and Disco Deewanay.Her brother and fans paid tribute to the late pop star on Twitter.
