Hi Folks

in #introduceyourself7 years ago

So after lurking around here for sometime now I decided to take the plunge and signup so I could take part in all of the fun. Ill try to keep this brief as I do have a habit of waffling on sometimes. Most of my time is spent divided into two things the first is working for Fiverr and the second is my increasing interest and involvement in cryptocurrency. Fiverr takes up most of my time, I don't mess about with $5 orders often as I've been lucky enough to build up a regular client base whereby orders range from $200-$10,000. I'm not sure how those who do the bare minimum on there make any money but I digress.

Anyway just wanted to make a quick introduction. My profession is web development both back and front end. I also spend a lot of my time working with WordPress so if anyone ever needs any help or guidance with something they are struggling with in this area I'm always happy to help out. Knowledge is best shared.

Welcome to this awesome community, I wish you all the best and more power to you. =)

Thank you.

Hi, welcome to Steemit! I'm thinking about learning WordPress myself, how long would you say it'd take to develop a website using WordPress and what are the job opportunities like for someone starting out as a freelancer? I know a HTML, CSS and JavaScript to an extent already but I'm very rusty.

If you are familiar with the basic concepts of HTML, CSS and JS then you are more than on your way to being able to easily get started with WordPress. One of the biggest plus points of WordPress is the huge range of plugins that are available which can often shorten the development time considerably. Take for example a static website, if you wanted to add some fancy Javascript or jQuery in order to get some desired functionality - you will likely find a plugin that has been created, verified safe and ready to install in seconds. There are times when I have to write a new plugin myself because one doesn't exist but for the most part the plugin repository has all you will ever need.

Welcome to the amazing Steem community, and I’m sure you’ll truly enhance it! I’ve also done some web development, but I’m sure not as much as you. I know I will see some quality content coming from you, and definitely am going to follow you.
