That is almost impossible, or at least very difficult to effectively do., for the following reasons.
a) We pay our users for viewing the video
b) Advertisers have the opportunity to add their ads and pay VIU tokens to the video authors and users directly, without intermediaries.
c) We give our content creators 4 streams of income: advertising revenue sharing, sales of their premium content, subscriptions to their paid channels and receiving tips.
We haven't seen any of the above within our competitor's projects. Absolutely all competitors try to solve just one problem, while viuly.com approaches this issue in a comprehensive manner and solves all the existing problems of centralized video platforms.
Well, respectfully I do not agree with your last paragraph. But I will only say that I would not see advertising a big hit or thing for Steemit. Although we have already something called "Promote" post. It was not what I was referring to, but plays some part of the advertising role.
Anyways, happy to see how viuly will evolve.
