I'm an Ethereum Blockchain developer. Have participated in few hacks in past 6 months and on the verge of cracking PKI for the Ethereum blockchain, which is the current need to securely keep your personal data on blockchain( think about your diabetes reading, it's medical data and you don't want anyone to know about it except your doctor). We need a mechanism by which each party can use public blockchain for personal use with privacy intact.
Zksnark is the tech on top of bitcoin gave Zcash. Same Zsnark is going to get implemented in Ethereum in coming Serenity version, but I'm bit skeptical whether it shall lead to a tx which can be submitted to the network within "normal" gas range.
Just consider this fact, that I want to do it in more of a simpler fashion, still keeping the secrecy intact.
