@windigo here from Kansas in the United States. I've posted a couple comments already, so thought I should introduce myself before I do any major posting.
As I said, I'm from Kansas, where I live on a small farm with my wife and children. 25 acres if you're curious.

One thing I love to do is travel, and I'm thankful that my career allows me to travel around Kansas to communities big and small. There really is a lot to see and do here. I also enjoy traveling around the United States and the world. Some of my favorite places to visit have been England, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Toronto, and Los Angeles to name a few.
(Ah, London)

I also enjoy food - eating it of course, but also cooking it. I was heavily influenced by a few things growing up that steered me in the direction of being a foodie:
- My parents couldn't cook very well, though I love them anyway. Hamburger patty, serving of canned corn, and serving of canned peas was typical fare on weeknights at our house.
- My grandma and great-grandma were awesome cooks, and I always enjoyed watching what they did.
- There were a ton of cooking shows on TV when I was a kid. Once the cartoons were over, PBS or cable had a variety of shows to watch like Justin Wilson, the Frugal Gourmet, and as I got older, the Food Network. When it came down to choosing between soap operas and cooking shows, I probably should've gone outside to play, but I chose cooking shows.
(Smoking some brisket and ribs on a nice spring day)
(I've also been known to make some industrial-sized mixed drink recipes)
There are many more things I'm interested in from genealogy (being an only child of an only child made me curious who I was related to from the past), gardening, storms...
I hope to provide some content on these topics and more soon, as well as comment on your posts as well. Thanks to @allasyummyfood for directing me, and so many others here from Youtube. I'm steen1973 over there and haven't made a video for a while, though that will change.
Take care everyone!
