OK, HOW BOUT SOME BACKSTORY
So Backstory to me, is everything up until after college >_< so here it goes. I was born in Amherst, Ohio (near Cleveland if u know the area). I also have an older sister who is a BAMF, but I can make a post specifically about her BAMF-ery. Amherst was a smaller town, but my dad was an engineer for Ford Motor Company. During his work there, he was able to do what is called 'Foreign Assignments' where he was able to move his whole family (me, sister, and my mom) to Japan and live there for 3 years to help solve issues there (not sure of specifics but this is what is always told to me). I was very young when we lived in Japan, but I do remember bits and pieces, and I warrant my 'geeky' ways to living there at such a young age.
I love looking at the old pictures of when we were there. Was nice because every year, Ford would allow my father and us to fly back to the states, and book our own return flights...
so we ended up making little vacations everytime we went back to the US. We were very lucky to be able to do this, and even though I was so young and cant remember a lot, my parents did a great job with video/pictures to help me relive a lot of these experiences :D
Once we got back to the states for good, we settled down in Amherst, OH and I proceeded to go to school at the local schools there. Outside of me and my friends being ornery and 'turfing' and 'egging' things, I stayed out of any trouble (I didnt have my first beer until I was 18!). After my sophomore year of highschool, my dad retired from Ford, and worked as a Contract employee with Nissan in Arizona, where we ended up moving to Phoenix and I finished out my high school career at Seton Catholic High School.
During my time there, I was an exceptional athlete (2x All State, as well as other awards),
as well as did theatre in the area... yeah Im the guy with the elvis wig in front (Emma Stone was in the show!).
After Highschool, I got recruited as a preferred WalkOn at Oklahoma State, and started my degree in Electrical Engineering
Oooo I'm so tough... :p (this was Les Miles last year at OSU)
After Les left, I transferred to a Junior College, Mesa Community College in Arizona
I had another great year, and got an offer to come to LSU under Les Miles again
I was able to earn a scholarship position on the team (sadly I tore my Right ACL 3 years in a row though), finish out my career there, and graduate... not with Electrical Engineering, but still graduated >_<. During my time playing for LSU, I was apart of the 2007 National Championship Team as well :D
I also happened to meet my girlfriend at LSU, Elise. We have since been together over 8 years since college.
We have since bounced around to Arizona, Texas, and have ended up in Durham, North Carolina so we can focus on Disco Melee (my startup).
OK, NICE AUTOBIOGRAPHY
awww thanks, you're so nice
WHAT INTERESTS YOU, OR MORE IMPORTANTLY, WHAT WILL YOU TALK ABOUT HERE
Well I'm glad you asked! I have a strong passion for the startup community (especially since im IN it), technology, Gaming, and all things that involve my cat, Luci.
Startup Community
I love helping people get their ideas organized, and put into a place where they can capitalize on them.
In the the 'workforce' I am seen as OCD with my planning, organization and efficiency mindset.
Technology
There has always been something that has drawn me to computers, and technology in general. When I was growing up, because of my dads work, we always had a decent computer around. Early on, my parents said I could either play computer games, or play with consoles (nintendo/sega). I made my choice for #PCMasterRace and havent looked back since. My 1st computer I ever built was actually my high school graduation present. I've always kept my ear to the ground when it comes to new/upcoming tech (I have a bad habit of Kickstarting too many things >_<)
Gaming
Along with my love of technology, I have always love the gaming community.
I played Counter-Strike 1.6 competitively, but have since gone very casual ever since. My girlfriend and I played a lot of World of Warcraft, and actually thats how I met my business partner (thats a story for another Post).
Luci
Oh my sweet sweet Luci cat.
We originally got Luci as an 'office' cat to catch mice at our offices for Disco Melee, but she soon became our own little bundle of fur.
Luci was adopted as Lilly, but we changed her name to Lucifer (from Cinderella), but Luci for short.
I have grown up with cats, and my girlfriend with dogs, but its been amazing to see her come around to how cats work. We have since made her own Facebook Fan page (https://www.facebook.com/LuciCat32) and YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJB1SndaDHdXNTARJgdxGCQ)

I'm looking to use Steemit as a way to start blogging and vlogging again. I keep a journal, but I have always felt better typing my thoughts then writing, and if I'm going to be typing, Hell... Might as well blog about it!
