[Continued from Pt 1. The whole thing was just too long with too many pictures, π·π so I split it in two for your guys' benefit. π]
Often times I had to decline on the partying however, as I had my own personal ambitions, (like studying, and STRUGGLING in my classes at Starbucks),
and I've always kind of been somewhat of a lone wolf, even off of the clock. In between work and my studies I would go running up in the mountains of Griffith Park, making my way up to the Observatory and beyond. For awhile, nothing could stop me from getting my daily hike/run in. I was very committed.
Sometimes getting up and out after work, and with homework pending on your plate for that night can be hard to overcome, but when you're dedicated, and you have that fire, passion, and ambition. You just get up, get out, and do it! ππ½
Every Thursday night, there would be open mics around the corner from my apartment. So, me being an avid writer and part-time poet, would go to perform raps that I worked on during my extra, extra, spare time.
The experiences were brilliant. And exceptional ways to balance work and school everyday. Whenever I was at work, I wished I could be sitting in class. And whenever I would go to class I would pray that I could exit that boring room and get on a stage to perform my music. And whenever I was at the open mics, I was thankful that all of my experiences and hardships could prepare me, and make me strong enough to get up, and pour my heart out before a crowd of strangers.
Most of school for me was self studying, but sometimes I would get together with my class mates and we would all study as one group. Not every night of course, but those intimate study sessions were incredibly helpful especially with my science and mathematics courses which could be very tricky to understand in between lectures.
Sometimes we'd even go out for delicious Ramen!! ππ
Only at Shin-Sen-Gumi in Little Tokyo!!!
And in accordance with one of my classmates traditional routines, after we completed our class, we all went out for KBBQ!! ππ€π½
All of these were great times. And all so diverse and unconventional. But that just goes to show you that Nurses are so much more than just healthcare professionals. We're teachers, and students. And we are also in general lovers of life, that know and understand the importance of love, laughter, and living in the moment!! ππππ€π½
This was the cowboy themed day we had that week! π¨π½βπΎπ©π»βπΎπ
I am enterally thankful that I found a career that suits all of my needs, and gives me a sense of self-actualization in life. Especially since so many people often times spend so much time struggling to find what they truly what to do. I have found a beautiful career, passion, and lifestyle, and the role young age of 25, and I'm sticking to it.
