In all honesty, I came across Steemit as I had to do a research blog about it for a company I previously worked for, and well, here I am!
So, hello Steemit world! I never was really fond of the introductory question: “Tell me a bit about yourself,” because in short span of 2-3 minutes- how am I, or anyone for the matter- describe ourselves and who we are?
What I can say is this: I am a person, just like the many others on this earth; still discovering themselves one day at a time.
I was born and brought up in a town known as Auburn located in the evergreen state of Washington. Of course, I was raised by two wonderful Malayalee parents who wanted to make sure their children will have the best opportunities that life has to offer, by moving from God’s Own Country in Kerala, to the United States of America.
I said the word ‘children’ so, yes, this means I have a sibling (Though, I feel I am the adopted one in the family... just look at the picture below!) One younger brother who is a funny, witty guy. He is probably the only person on this earth whom I will succumb to, for the mere fact that he is all that I have to rely on this planet when it comes to individuals who will stick by throughout your life. That, and he’s pretty tech savvy.
I’m an avid dancer. Trained in bharatanatayam along with various other styles. I choreograph various dance programs, and even ran my own little school for a while…I also have this crazy passion for acting and writing.
I would love it if you were to check out my website by going here: www.voiceofabpd.com. It is where the "rants & rambles" of being heard... being a voice for those who feel voiceless began.
Welcome @angelagoraphy. I'm also new to Steemit, I started yesterday! LOL
And guess what, I have been to Kerala (because of Kanthari - the place that empowers Social Entrepreneurs).
Love what you do...continue to live your dream and in the uniqueness of your creation.
Since we are newbies... let's support one another :)
Hi @coachmelleow!
Fancy meeting you here, and that's super cool that you've visited Kerala! I always find it surprising when a non-keralite visits!
Thank you much for the support, and lets keep on keeping on :-)
If there's any help you need, I'm just a message away. (not that I'm an expert in anything about Steemit) LOL.
Let's continue to build with purpose and authenticity. Cheers! Mel 😊
