Well... here I am

Huh – no matter how much technology alters the way we live, or more specifically, communicate, some elements remain unchanged.
Like introductions.

All well. On the very rare occasion, I guess it actually does pay (literally) to go with the crowed and conform.
I’m new. Well, not actually new. More medium-term lurker, first time poster. I have more interests than there are hours in the day and often set about the ludicrous task of attempting to achieve so much that, more often than not, I fail to achieve anything at all. Ironic, no? I think E.A Poe said something similar during a sunny day at the beach ($5 to anyone who gets the joke).
At any rate, I’m a writer, academic, avid gamer, arm-chair philosopher, carnivorous plant collector and all-round happy, go-lucky scamp.
At this point in time, my goal here is to write. I don’t care what it makes (probably nothing), but if you like my words, then please do let me know one way or another. We writers are a sickly, ill-fated bunch; scarcely capable of making it through the day – weighed down by the terrible burden that is our imagination (AKA laziness): such is the tragedy of a creative existence. But your terribly structured words of encouragement make it that much easier -for if there is any truth to the universe, it is this: that in the heart of every true creator, there is a voice that speaks thusly: PRAISE ME MOTHER FUCKERS!
