Hi Jill. I'm sure a lot of people will gain something from your story. I'm curious to know what you do for monetary units in your new home.
Personally, I'm from Australia, but I live here in Guadalajara, Mexico, teaching English online, which gives me a lot of freedom. But now Steemit has come along, I'm trying to cut back on teaching.
For a lot of people, it's difficult to take that leap moving to another country. When I told my workmates that I was going to live in Mexico, some of them were in disbelief... They knew I had the plan, but it was a bit surprising to see me follow through with it. I guess you've probably had similar experiences.

Aloha! I currently work on a boat for Pacific Whale Foundation full time taking tourists out snorkeling and teaching them about the coral reef ecosystem, but making barely enough to live. And similar to you, Steemit has come across my path and I am pursuing this new financial venture to see what may come of it!
That is so cool that you made a big move! I can definitely relate. It mainly comes down to what makes me the most happy and how I can be the best possible version of myself. So far, the move has worked out really well. I'm assuming you have adapted to your new home well? Would love to hear any feedback or advice as I'm very new here!
