MY INTRODUCTORY POST IN THE RUCHE (HIVE)

in #introduction2 years ago

Writing for me enhances my thinking ability. It helps me explore the depth of my creativity and even though I often get scared of not being able to write satisfactorily and this has curbed my writing success. However A wise man once said" Practice makes perfect and so I've decided to start my practice right here right now. Before anything let me introduce myself, My name is Keren Demo and I was born and bred in Lagos even though my state of origin is Ondo so I'm from the Yoruba Tribe of Nigeria even if my name speaks otherwise, You might be thinking I changed my name to sound nice but no at least my surname is DEMO which is not Yoruba but IJAW and I really can't explain but the little I know is that my forefathers were from the IJAW tribe.

What I AM
I am a content lover, a multilinguist,a food lover, a shoemaker.
My interest for Foreign Language started during my secondary school years as we had a French teacher and even if the subject got cancelled when I was in SS2 I was not going to stop learning this language that had caught my utmost interest so I still registered it during the WASSCE and I eventually chose it as my course of study at the university and my course of study gave me reasons to leave the country for Benin Republic and Togo and I must say that it remain a privilege to live in a world of another culture and just very recently for the love of language I wrote the B1 and B2 level of the DELF/DALF exam and I passed.
Check out the French man's certificate 😊

I also started writing when I got to the university even if I'm still work in progress and as I take my first baby steps today. I feel satisfied because I'm doing it not just thinking it. When I say I love contents I also love reading good contents so you really can't imagine how happy I felt when I read the posts in the writing communities we have here.
I'm yet to fully explore but I'm already tempted to change derimo to Dora 🙂
Also during the pandemic year I enrolled for the one craft I love doing which is Shoemaking and I learnt it till I graduated from the university earlier this year. I'm so sure you would want to see a picture of some of my works but don't worry I'll not be boring you with much pictures.

Even if this is coming last it should have been the first but being the last is not being the least, I love eating good foods and I cook but this is not because I enjoy cooking but it's just because I don't get to choose as I'm the only girl among my siblings, soooo we can just refer to it as an unsaid responsibility.
So at the moment I am a certified Multilinguist, writer and a shoemaker.

Why I want to join Hive

So with the knowledge that this is a platform where I can write and also learn I'm definitely sure that I'll really love to grow on this platform.
Also the feeling that accompanies the knowledge that my writings are not just stacked in my notes but they are being read is so exciting that I've not gotten the exact words to describe it.
Thank you for this platform ✨ It's true that I really love writing but I've always had challenges with writing consistently and this feeling that my writing is not good enough that has robbed me of writing consistently is one thing I really want to put to bed and thanks to @marvel1206 that introduced this platform to me and even though he went through a lot of trouble to show me how it works here, he is still ready to show me anytime. Thank you for giving me this opportunity, I'm so grateful.

Thank you very much for staying with me to the end.
