GREETINGS!!
Hello everyone! Good morning afternoon or evening to all of you (Or whichever time you’re reading this right now). It’s nice to meet all of you I'm Kaijen (Or my username is at least).So to keep it short and worthwhile let’s start with talking about myself (Like every intro blog there is, of course you introduce yourself first that’s why it’s an INTRO blog😑) so anyways let’s start right away.
ABOUT THYSELF
First of all to start I was born on April 09,2006.I am currently 17 years old. My zodiac sign is Aries. I live in the northern part of Cebu Philippines. I currently am studying as a Senior High School Student and am currently living with my parents (given I’m below the legal age of course that’s a given that I live with them🙄).I stand at around 5’11.I’m a very patient person I hardly ever get angry (and I’m proud of that😌) and to be honest ever since I was young I’ve always been an Omnivert myself.
If I were to say so myself, I’m not very participative in class or even in any other activities. Honestly I just wanna chill by the corner and enjoy my peace as I do the things that I truly love and care about because I value my peace over anything else in this world.
I also live by the rule “To think lightly of yourself and Deeply of the World" - Miyamoto Musashi so that further explains my overall personality and attitude towards others and myself. So that’s about it about myself now let’s go on to my hobbies;
MY HOBBIES (OR ANYTHING THAT I JUST REALLY LIKE WHICH JUST LITERALLY MEANS HOBBIES😐)
My hobbies are playing basketball and chess thus, given they’re just hobbies I’m not very good at them though I still enjoy playing it especially with my friends.
At first I started playing basketball after the quarantine to exercise a little bit,y’know to get all those sweat out or to improve my immune system and such.
But after almost 2 years of playing I’ve grown to love the game myself and I’m still improving day by day, every day even by just a little bit improving my stamina, endurance, shooting, rebounding,and footwork to be just a little bit better on this sport that I happen to love so much.
Lastly the said to be GAME OF GENIUSES (Though I doubt it is as I am playing it) CHESS I started playing this game when my friends played it during class and they got scolded because of it and at that time I was intrigued by this seemingly not so hard board game and that was the start of this addiction of mine on this game called chess.
I searched through various medias to gain information about the game on how to efficiently win it.I even bought books just for this game.It was truly a challenging yet enjoyable experience of mine learning this game and so to say it.Yes it was definitely worth my sweat and effort.Chess in itself already has a ton of benefits but the effort I put in to gain all those knowledge,the critical thinking I did every single game just to win that was the real benefit for me.
I also like to read books a lot and sometimes write as well because as Pam Allyn said “Reading and Writing cannot be separated.Reading is breathing in and Writing is breathing out”.Just the benefits of reading alone makes me want to do it every single day even by just an hour or so.It truly makes a huge difference compared to just being on your phone all day long. Especially for those people who suffer a lot from procrastination and want to improve their own mindset to be a greater human being that they were destined to be all throughout their life.So yeah that’s about it for this section of the blog please do read further below to know more about myself🙏
FIRST BOOK
In case if you're wondering why I said this is my first book without me actually buying it then the internet is the answer.
I read my first ever book called “Dokkodo” 21 rules to live by Miyamoto Musashi around the late 15 years of my life going to 16 and finally now at 17 years old.This book moulded me as the man I am as of today.I’ve kept this hobby alive till now and am still going strong so far.That decision I made to read a book was so far the best decision of my life ever.Reading this book changed my view and how this world of us works.
So far after reading the book “Dokkodo” books about philosophy mainly Stoicism have piqued my interest therefore broadening my own horizons even more.I also read some self-help books along the way which not only improved my life tremendously but also the people around me as I shared the things that I’ve learned from these books with them.
Thus whoever you are that is reading this right now I encourage you from the deepest of my heart to read a book or two, Fiction or Non-fiction it doesn’t matter just put your phone away get a book,go to a nearby park or anywhere else where your comfortable whether it be your bedroom or e.t.c. Just trust me it changed mine so will it change yours.
BECOMING AN ASPIRING STOIC
Of course after reading all those books about stoicism I’ve adapted the quotes “It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty which his body is capable of” - Socrates and “A man cannot remake himself without suffering for he is both the marble and the sculpture” - Alexis Carrel.Without a doubt reading these books made me start working on my self mentally and physically seeking the path of self improvement.
As the path towards self-improvement is a life long journey whether you’d be hit by a roaring thunder or be blessed by the GODS themselves all you gotta do is persevere through all that and just be satisfied on what you have and get in the present time.That is the Stoic way, persevering through all that life throws at you as a former Roman Emperor and Renowned Philosopher (Also My Favorite Ever) Marcus Aurelius once said “Whatever happens to you has been waiting to happen since the beginning of time”.
FUR FRIEND
His name is Fluffy D or D in short.His a male cat with a half bloodline possible that of a Russian Blue’s.He was given by my cousin to my niece when he was still about my palm’s size.But as some conflict occurred between my sister’s family and they had to move out to a new condo.Unfortunately so,the condo has a rule that pets are strictly not allowed.Therefore I am left to take care of him.
At first it was really hard because let’s not even talk about him eating he won’t even come out from the corner of our house.But as time went by and he got closer to me,the two of us became the best of friends.Although now that he’s not that shy anymore I found out that he’s one hell of a cat.He’s asleep during the day and awake in the night and sometimes when he’s awake in the morning he always goes out and only ever coming back home to eat or at night when I’m just about to go to sleep.He also gets into fights with other cats quite often.But overall despite him acting that way my niece and I just love him so much.
WHEN, WHAT, WHERE, WHY AND HOW I STARTED HIVE ft. ENDING
I discovered HIVE recently on November 8,2023 when a group of two people visited our school namely @ybanezkim26 and @indayclara.They hosted an orientation where aspiring writers such as my self attended and I’m not gonna lie but the proposal they said about “making money just by writing” really piqued my interest specifically as I am still a student and am still living off of my parents so I wanted to at least earn a little bit to help them even by just a tiny bit by having my own allowance and not needing them to give me money .Hopefully even giving them money myself and returning the favor that they’ve given me throughout my entire life. My mother and father got a divorce when I was just a Grade 1 Elementary student. So she would be the sole reason for me joining HIVE to help her.As she has done so much just to raise me as a single mother and I want to repay her back.
So finally after 2 days of hard work it finally paid off😭😭 I finally finished my first ever blog .Thank y’all for those people who made it this far and for making it this far 🙏 I know that my grammar and overall English are not good but I will try my best to produce good quality blogs for you guys so I hope you’ve and will further enjoy our time together as I upload more blogs in the future.Possibly even two times a week.Now that that’s all said and done all I wanna say one last time is
