Before I begin, I want to express my sincere gratitude to my aunt @naymhapz who encouraged me to join this family! I look forward to sharing my experiences, skills, and abilities while enjoying and learning new and interesting things shared here. I hope you’ll lend me your time and finish reading this blog until the end:)
ME, MYSELF, AND I
MABUHAY !🤗🇵🇭 I am Lianne Venice, 16, and raised in a humble house with my parents, older brother, and younger sister. Hail from the country Philippines in a small town in the Province of Cebu. I usually go by the names “Venice", "Nash", "LV" and "Lianne ", it usually depends on who I’m talking to. But please do call me nashhh here.
I am now an incoming Grade 12 senior high student taking up the STEM strand this school year. I specifically chose this strand because of its alignment with my future course and its privileges soon when I’m in College.
MY RECREATIONAL INTERESTS AND PASSIONS IN LIFE
One thing about me is that I find myself being taken away into the world of wonders and beauty of books—especially novels. It’s amazing how twenty-three random letters formulate into a statement that guides you to escape this reality and travel into a whole lot of different universes. It is a portal to another dimension where a novel or a story written by the author is brought to life.
As exaggerated as it seems, I can’t live without music, as it is the daily dosage of medicine that keeps me sane. I take great pleasure in listening to great songs. Personally, it is a free therapy. It tunes me up with myself, without music, my life is out of tune. Listening helps in making me go through and bear whatever emotion I may have at a certain time.
To pass the time, I sometimes crochet. These are the samples of my work that I’ve sold. It is just fulfilling to feel when I finish a project or something made out from scratch and hard work and earn from it. Not only that, it can also organize my thoughts and clear out all the blurry and confusing thoughts while making.
During leisure time, one of the things I opted to do is taking photographs. I don’t care whether it was captured perfect or not. I enjoyed capturing every moment as I can reminisce these moments when they become memories already.
Watching great movies and some television shows are my passed time fave activities. They may appear to be a lazy thing to do to others, yet they are as good as reading books. You may learn a lot simply by watching. We all learn in different ways and I can learn by relating to the movie, reflecting on it, and applying what I've learned to my daily life.
I'd also like to express my appreciation for my bedroom. The place where I usually watch good movies and television shows, read, and listen to good music. And especially the haven where I can do what I love most: sleep. I believe that sleep is the best escape from stress.
I am fond of biking. It is in this activity where I can find pleasure and be able to reconnect with the natural world. Besides its physical benefits, cycling is also good for my soul and mind. It helps me in getting rid of stress and letting myself go while inhaling fresh air. It’s also a good way to travel to places when you’re on a tight budget.
Besides engaging in cycling, I am capable of participating in both table tennis and lawn tennis. They are entertaining to play and they also have a lot of good benefits to my body. Table tennis is good for fast reflexes whereas lawn tennis is good overall exercise.
EXPLORING THE WORLD: DISCOVERING AND OBTAINING DIFFERENT CULTURE AND KNOWLEDGE
I love the fresh breeze of air from nature, I have always been fascinated by the sea waves. However scary and mysterious they may seem, the beauty of the waves and the sound they bring always catches my attention and draws me closer to the coast.
My hometown has taught me to appreciate nature, especially sunsets. It made me appreciate its beauty in every way, from the smallest to the largest. I will always be ‘that’ person who chases the sun and watches it along with the fresh breeze of air that warmly hugs you until it sets. By doing this, it gives me peace and solace. Since it’s a place where I can meditate which helps me unwind or escape from stressful things I mostly get from school.
I also enjoy traveling. I appreciate the uniqueness of every place that I have traveled and going from one place to another is such an incredible experience. Just like a book, it could be your way to escape into a new environment where you could meet new people and experience new things.
I am fond of my City—Cebu City, as much as I am of the province. I feel the delight of watching the tall buildings, night lights, and loud and chaotic busy life in the city. The idea of being unknown behind the busy streets and where everyone I meet is a stranger will always bring me comfort.
SOMETHING TO PONDER IN THE ESSENCE OF LIVING
Lastly, I want to share something that appears to be deeply etched in my mind – that the essence of life is found in romanticizing the experiences in living. Life is short and the world is wide so let’s all live our lives to the fullest and take the time to share them here! I can't wait to share all of my skills, hobbies, and experiences with Hive in my future blog! Thank you for taking the time to get to know me; I look forward to getting to know you all:)
