Hello Steemit!
I just found out about this amazing concept, and as a fan of both virtual currency and blogging, I thought it was a perfect fit!
In the real world, I am a Frac engineer. I have been in this field for the last 10 years, and though I would use my introduction post to answer questions about what we do.
The amount of negative press that our industry gets always bothers me. I see frac jobs from start to finish, in many different geographical areas, and I have rarely seen anything go wrong (and I've never experienced burning water or an earthquake!)
We are hard working, smart people who spend most of our time away from our families, providing much needed oil and gas for other hard working people!
If you have any questions about the process, let me know.
Glad to meet you Steemit!
Great to see such a wide variety of people here on Steemit.
Do you have any proof of your Fracking expertise?
Where in the world have you been doing the fracking operations, that might influence the amount of damage that you might have seen to the environment? Not to mention some of the damage might not be obvious for many years afterwards.
I could take a picture of the frac job I'm on currently lol.
I have been only in the US, but basically in all the big shale plays, and many conventional. I am in South Texas ATM. What damage do you think could occur in many years, just curious.
Here's my view today
So all the reports are false, and we've absolutely nothing to worry about? Not now, nor in forty years’ time?
I appreciate you work in the industry and have first-hand experience, but you also have a biased view.
