Hey Steemit! Random artist/gamer who thinks he is more important than he actually is!

in #introduction8 years ago (edited)

Hey Steemit! I go by UnusedWings on the internet, and I'm a 19 year old artist/gamer!

I was actually introduced to this site from this guy right here: https://steemit.com/introduction/@dreamache/i-introduced-steemit-to-my-100k-youtube-channel-and-did-a-wallpaper-tutorial (I follow his youtube channel)

Here I am: (Yes, that is infact a creeper t-shirt!)

To be completely honest, I'm just your normal guy from a small town. I haven't invented or developed something, I haven't gone through some crazy experience calling for an AMA, I'm just that guy you might see.

About me: I've been an artist since I could hold a pencil in my hand as a toddler. I'm also a computer nerd. My first job was at a computer store, building and cleaning up computers for people. Over the past couple years I've gradually transitioned into digital art, mostly graphic design and 3D modeling (I'll leave a link to my behance at the bottom of the post if you're interested)! My most recent project that I finished this morning was modeling and texturing the Portal Gun from Rick and Morty (I'm obsessed with this show). I also want to get into photography (I happen to be starting a photography class this fall semester), so I could also share some of the stuff I take from that as well!

I'm a very heavy gamer dabbling in a little bit of every type of game, but mostly RPG's, fast-paced shooters and arcady type games. If I happen to be gaming, you can more than likely catch me either slaying zombies or obsessively breeding and training competitive pokemon. Both of my tattoos are gaming related as well! One is based around the Legend of Zelda series, and my second tattoo is from Kingdom Hearts!

Fun fact! I'm also in the process of trying to write a novel! I have the entire concept done but due to starting college, I've had to take a slight hiatus as I am an art student, so that comes first! I'd love to be able to maybe start a blog or something that won't take up nearly as much time, but somewhere that I can share my thoughts on whatever crosses my mind.

I've had plenty of experience around the internet, and coming upon this site is a dream come true to be honest. While I thought Reddit would be that place, if you pay any attention to it currently, the "Front page of the Internet" has turned into a cesspool of censorship and circlejerks.

I'd love to be able to share my art and thoughts on a site that is accepting of that type of stuff, and I'm hoping that place is here!

Hey man. Welcome to Steemit.

Unfortunately imgur sorta sucks gnome schlong around here on steemit..
I highly suggest using puush.me or similar program to do images here!

Also it helps to add a verification picture with your face, todays date, your username and "I <3 Steem" or something similar so we know you're a legit person and not a cyborg robot from the future here to steal our future SteemDollars!

Cheers,
<3 KLYE

The imgur link was my "verification" picture. :( I'll try and find another host for it. Thank you!

To be honest I didn't even click the imgur link. :) Sorry.

It's ok. I went ahead and changed it over to puush.

Welcome to steemit! I have one question regarding pokemon, are you not concerned that images of inside your house are being sent to google?

If you're talking about Pokemon GO, then no. I don't play it in my house as there isn't much around it. What I was referring to in my post however is the normal DS games.

My bad I misread your post I thought you were a pokemon GO player :P

Oh I'm an avid Pokemon GO player. Unfortunately, I have to actually drive into town to find anything. When I lived on campus however, I just had to take like 3 steps outside and I would find all sorts of stuff.

People are giving up a lot of their privacy when using this game and can be easily manipulated, hopefully you can reconsider trade offs.

Welcome to Steemit! I also love Rick and Morty. I recommend Dan Harmon's podcast "Harmontown" if you haven't already listened to it. It's quite brilliant in ways similar to Rick and Morty - the toilet humour, the improvisation, oddly disturbing fetish stories about mannequin legs (?), but also very witty jokes.

I am a subscriber to Harmontown!!

I will have to give that a look!

I also love Rick and Morty! Also for image hosting I have been using imgsafe (imgsafe.org) and it seems to be working really well too, just in case you need another option. Welcome to Steemit!
