Somedays, I wake up and imagine that my life was different. I probably won't be at this point. I should have had my life together; maybe chilling on some private island in Fiji, flying to Italy for pizza, and a lot of other fun stuff that money can buy. Well, we'll leave imaginations to imaginations. I'm probably not at my best place in life, but I'm somewhere, and I'm grateful for it.
Hi, people of Hive, I'm an avid thinker and a generally curious person. I'm quite optimistic, and I love to share positivity about how a lot of good can come out from a seemingly unfair world. Yes, we live in an unfair world. I mean why is one person worth over $100B? Maybe one day life would be fair.
I care a lot about Earth though, it is why I studied environmental resources management in college. Sadly, there aren't many environmental firms in Nigeria, which means a job is scarce, and consequently, I'm jobless. Oops! That sounded harsh. I'm not exactly jobless though. In the absence of a job, I wandered into photography. At least if I can't work for Earth I can photograph her and her occupants, right?
Being self-employed means I can be in control of my time, and lately, I've been having loads of free time. I'm tired of wasting those precious free time and I wanted to channel it into something more productive. I've seen my friend @kodeblaccc rant several times about Hive and its benefits on Whatsapp, so I asked him to plug me in. He was kind enough to put through the basics of the platform, but I've been unable to start something because I'm not a fan of writing.
It's been over a month since I signed up, but I've been unable to make an intro post. My friend said it was necessary to start with an intro post. I finally faced my demons today. I feel that Hive might be just what I need to improve my writing and start a career as a writer; just kidding 😂.
I'm a portrait photographer based in Lagos, Nigeria. I've been shooting portraits for over three years now, and the journey has been great. I'd love to explore more types of photography, but Nigeria somehow limits you. You sort of need to develop this herd mentality, else no one will take you seriously. Well, whilst I'm sort of pushed to do majorly portrait photography, I'm glad that I can do it my way and my style.
My major operations on Hive would be effectively sharing thoughtful, artistic, and as well entertaining images. I hope that you like them as much as I do.
