Hi, I am Diederick, but you can call me "D". I was born in the Netherlands, grew up in Belgium and currently live in the Philippines. I am 21 years old since 2012.
I live together with my soulmate Chelsea, a real thoroughbred Askal (Asong Kalye or street dog) that I rescued from the streets of Cebu about 5 years ago. She stays by my side at all times and keeps me company on my lonely nights. I love dogs, they will show unconditional love as long as you feed them🤣.
My days are usually filled with work, eating, sleeping, eating and eating. I think everyone enjoys good food, it brings out memories, it can connect people and it keeps you alive. My n° 1 passion in life is food. I love eating and consequently, I love cooking too! This is one of the main reasons why I started my career in the hospitality industry. I started out in the kitchen as a dishwasher, but quickly moved to the front of the house. I never came back to the kitchen unless in the settings of my own home. And oooow boy, do I love to be in the kitchen. I never had a formal culinary education, so that's why I like to explore the internet in search for that perfect recipe.
So we come to my blog. I never blogged before, because I never really had anything to write about. However, with the help of my other soulmate @chillwithshanna, I came to the conclusion I have something to write about! Food, food and food. I will try and take my readers on a culinary journey that knows no borders. Get to know me and my taste buds through a wide array of recipes and join me on my quest to become a 3 star homecook.
