Welcome to my other side of the internet. Hi everyone, Kristy here, but you can call me Kri. I'm excited to share this new thing to me, unlocking the blogging side. My background relies on human resources functions and public service, where I contribute to the operations of a local government unit. Outside this role, I'm a driven entrepreneur and enjoy a rewarding family life.
Why should we talk about the things that excites you more? Shall we?
Even at a young age, my eyes are broadening and I fully understood the challenges of life have offers. As the eldest of three beautiful daughters raised by a hardworking parent our father is a tricycle driver and our mother managed our home and took care of us, I learned the value of hard work and determination at the very young age. My parents teach us the importance of independence and perseverance so that we became brace to face any circumstances that life may throw to us and we can be successful in the future. I still remember reaching a point in high school where I had to ask my aunt for rice and lunch money. That experience solidified my belief that life can be tough sometimes and hard work is always the key to success.

College was a constant struggle, but I thrived as a working student. A day in a life of a working student is not easy, I must have to wake up at 4 am to commute to school to catch up my 7 am shift, followed by classes schedule from 3 pm to 9 pm daily, imagine the routine?

Despite the challenges I encountered which i believed it makes me stronger, I completed my college degree in the year 2014 thanks to God's guidance. i also believe as the saying goes, every hustle equals a tassel, and that's when I can say I taste success. I also pursued my Master's degree in Business Administration with a major in Human Resource Management in the year 2022 from the University of Cebu Main Campus, where I previously attended college. Shall I say my life revolved in the same university? yes, it is and i am forever grateful for the administration for giving me the opportunity to attend to school all for free and that's one of the perks of a working scholar. My journey in the real world of work began with a two-year time as an HR Assistant in 2014. I then took the courage to prove that I can do more. I worked as a Human Resource Generalist for over five years. Today, I am a Legislative Assistant working for the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Bogo City.
My second sister also achieved her degree with a distinction of Magna Cum Laude from Cebu Normal University with a degree in Arts Communication, and my youngest sister is currently in her third year of college. By God's grace, I can still provide for their needs.

I'm an extrovert and outgoing adventurer, and trail running fuels my spirit. Trail running has been a consistent passion of mine for almost eight years, requiring a substantial commitment of time and energy. It allows me to deeply connect with the environment and see and appreciate nature's beauty. On tough personal or professional days, a run amidst redwoods or alongside a flowing stream never fails to uplift me and remind me that life is good. I also love going to the beach, chasing waterfalls, and restaurant hopping with family.

My married Life
I have my own family now! We got married last July 4, 2020 funny to say but we managed to push marriage even pandemic can’t stop us hahahaha! and I have to be honest, like every couple’s story, marriage is not always easy. Married life isn't always a happy season. We embrace our differences but have ups and downs, bad days, bad weeks, and maybe even bad years. But we don't let it disappoint us because we know we can face anything together. We have each other and a strong faith in God.

The bumpy ride journey of motherhood
As a first-time mom, my motherhood journey started like many of yours. Starting from the beginning we saw at a pregnancy test with a positive sign, I couldn't even believe with my two eyes. I sat frozen on the toilet, slowly processing all the feelings inside me, feeling overwhelmed as I can say. I lost my thoughts. "Wow, God heard our prayers!" we'd waited for this almost three years. I can't thank God enough. Could it be real? Just to be sure, I bought not just one but three pregnancy tests. How crazy and doubtful am I?
Well, just to make things so sure! hahahha. Three positive results later, our heart fills with joy, and to tell you, I don't know how to react. I laughed and cried a lot, and it's mixed emotions. There is a miracle; there is. December 6, 2023, at exactly 4 in the afternoon, I can still feel the excitement and the joy of the time I gave birth to a healthy baby boy, our baby Ali. Our greatest blessing is our answered prayer. When I first saw him, the first time I heard him cry, it sounded like he called me " mama, " and it took my heart away. Just like in the movies, my world stopped. It felt like only the two of us – me and baby.

Indeed, motherhood is a roller coaster journey; being a mom is not that easy, right? I can't even imagine how I handle the tough time. It's not just about conceiving and delivering the baby; it's the crazy ride that follows. There are tons of highs and lows, laughs and cries, like I can't even figure out it seems that all turn me into this whole new person being a mom. But when you ask me whats the best part? Your unbelievable love for this little human takes over my entire life. It gets you through the tough days and nights and constantly reminding you why you started this whole new thing in the first place. Motherhood feels like a roller coaster ride that you can’t control.
Motherhood is like a journey without a map, where the destination is unknown; we don't know where we are going. As a first-time mom, I can't remember ever being this happy in my entire life. It's like finally receiving something you've longed for so long. I couldn't get enough of him! Despite those sleepless nights, untainted happiness and contentment occupied me. My son has changed me. Motherhood has stretched me unimaginably, pushed me beyond my limits, and brought me joy in unexpected moments. He's my inspiration in everything I do. I can't thank God enough for all the blessings and yes, the excitement of this motherhood journey.
Reasons why I am eager to join this platform, the Hive
I'm eager to grow professionally and personally, so I am eager to join the Hive community. This platform offers many opportunities to help me develop my English grammar skills and become a confident writer. I have many flaws and imperfections; writing is not my passion and forte, and I am fully aware of that. Still, I know that the Hive community's advice, constructive criticism, and continual support will help me gain confidence and become a great writer. Based on my greater understanding, Hive provides an invaluable opportunity to learn from others. Exchanging ideas, learning other writing styles, and collaborating with other writers will all help me grow.
The things I'm eager to contribute to the Hive community through my ideas and personal perspectives and to share my outputs with everyone. I am also willing to lend an ear, give some advice, and offer constructive feedback to others. For me, joining this kind of platform is a major decision that requires careful consideration. I am an overthinker person, and I always doubt my abilities and capabilities, but I also want to overcome my flaws, improve my weaknesses, especially in writing and grammar composition and have the courage to be fully committed to new learning opportunities. I'm excited to meet with open-minded people, broaden my imaginative horizons, and enhance my writing skills with the help and influence of the Hive community
