Introverts and extraverts typically have different ideas on what constitutes a "good time".
The difference has been described as being how someone is emotionally recharged. Extraverts are relaxed in social situations where they get to spend time with other people, whereas the introvert can't wait to get away for some quality "me time".
I've put together some pictures to try and illustrate the mind of the introvert. Maybe you can relate?
Enjoy...

You may have thought it was a good idea when you accepted the invitation. Maybe it was a function you were obligated to attend. But all day long you've been dreading it. You're even trying to think of ways to get out of it. But every so often, things just work out.

As an introvert, you're probably an avid book reader. And the idea that they actually made one of your favorites into a movie! You just can't wait to see it... or can you? There's going to be so many people there...

It actually seemed like a pretty cool show. You watched the first couple of episodes. You never pictured Tucson when you'd imagined yourself in similar situations but okay. But then they just couldn't help themselves. They just had to start introducing new characters. Last man on earth? Talk about a bait and switch!

Okay this one's a little technical. The point is it's not just a life choice. Extraverts and introverts process stimuli differently. You can't really say that one is better than the other. Each has it's advantages, but it's important to know thyself and play to your own strengths.

Of course you enjoy music. And we all have our favorite bands, but all those people pushing and shoving. And it's so loud!

It's true poor Henry Bemis got a raw deal with that little twist at the end, but just before that point he was one happy introvert. More than enough books to read and all the time in the world to read them.

Headphones are your friends. Your favorite pair is never far away. Those store associates are just trying to do their jobs. They might not want to engage in conversation any more than you do. But still, there always seems to be a few who don't understand the universal sign of Do not disturb. Come on people... Headphones!
I really like the term Word Economy.
It means keep the conversation to a minimum.
It's frustrating when someone is trying to tell you something and five seconds into it you know exactly what they're trying to tell you, but they still have five minutes of story left before they'll get to the point. Meanwhile you imagine chewing your own arm off to get away. Do you finish the story for them? Do you fake a phone call (it's on vibrate).
Hope you enjoyed the post.
