NEW INVENTIONS Magazine #8 Series 5 - Hover Boards - The Hendo

in #inventions8 years ago (edited)

From founder, Greg Henderson of Arx Pax, LLC in California, the Hendo Hoverboard is the current model available with a new one in the works. The Hendo uses opposing magnetic forces and only functions on a copper or aluminum surface.

The device floats 1/2 inch from the floor with a battery life of 15 minutes.

While this is certainly a hover board. I don't see that there would be any practical use for one. Magnetic repulsion is currently used in Asia in trains, proven quite beneficial. The technology is great, but as for a hover board, where would one use it? At a cost of $10,000.00 I just don't see it. Now I could be wrong, and perhaps some copper plated skating ramps are built to support this product, along with charging stations. I just don't think this product is there.
