I often have to remind myself that everybody thinks differently. Not everything that is common sense to one person is common sense to another. Just because it makes sense from an investing perspective to me, another individuals perspective may be the exact opposite in a lot of cases. I can't seem to understand that people are willing to put their "life savings" into something that they just new. It makes sense to me why Jordan Belfort was so successful. I have to remember people are stupid, gullible, and easily manipulated. Why do investors sell their investment at a loss? I believe it is due to fear and poor allocation of their portfolio where they can not handle the risk. I hope after reading this you can reanalyze how you have allocated your portfolio and ask yourself what you can lose vs what you would need to be comfortable. Luckily after reading and having quite a few mentors, I hope we can continue to educate ourselves and others in order that we can avoid mistakes without making those painful mistakes. Happy investing peoples, just remember you have not lost until you sell at a loss.
