Interesting points! The one thing I would say that is going in ether's favour is that the platform still has a LOT of believers. I just interviewed Som Seif, a Canadian financial services CEO who helped co-found a public company called Ether Capital, and his argument is that you have to always watch what the developers are doing if you want to know where to invest, because the developers are really smart people and if they are dedicating their brainpower to something then it's bound to take off.
