what im saying is that with all these new communities sprouting up, the 5 tag limitation is outdated and an anchor.
If we are sticking to that as the general rule of thumb, when communities are created we may have issues when we want to reach all the communities we are involved in and where the content is relevant.
Further, the ability to tag content appropriately beyond communities will be compromised.
Its just something that makes sense, but i fear could go undetected until its a bottleneck.
And as i always like to say "Its better to ask the questin and appear the fool, that not ask the question and be the fool"
I'm missing something, I guess. I don't think you're wrong about 5 tags being insufficient for various purposes. I just note it's not actually a limit on Steem anymore. Does Steemit still have a 5 tag limit? I've been using Steempeak since the Steemit ToS, so haven't checked.
Thats what i get on steemit, but its kinda beside the point
What im getting at is if this is the format we are adhering to with all the NEW communities that are springing up (heard of another 3 coming today) then we are quickly going to run out of tag space if they all only let you use 5 tags.
So.... current communities, front ends, etc. that have this limitation should consider shifting to 'more tags' and new communities should consider not applying this limitation in the first place....
Im not saying there are NO places where you can put more than 5 tags, just that this construct is out dated and need st o be left behind IF this is the way we are moving forward
