Freetrade - a UK no-commission stockbrokering app just opened their 2nd round of funding in Crowdcube. With prospects to be as successful as the US app Robinhood, their current £18,000,000 valuation seems to be a prime opportunity for investment.

I have a place on the app waitlist so I received an early opportunity to invest yesterday, which I took quickly as the initial target of £500,000 of funding was met in 12 minutes. Looking at their investor pack and the chats going around everyone seems to be confident that this will be a profitable venture.
According to a Forbes article (link below), Freetrade see Revolut as their main competition. I joined the Revolut crowdfund last year and indeed the value of my shares have more than tripled in around 6 months.
Is this deal too good to be true or do you have doubts in this crowdfunding opportunity?
Has anyone else invested in a fintech start-up recently?
