As an option trader, I try not to worry about understand the direction or the size of the move. My goal is to make money in all market conditions. In my #401K plan, the goal is to be LONG the US Stock Market.

Oct 28 Investment Moves

Here are my investment moves for October 28 as of noon (EST). I like to make " adjustments" to my #option position. Today, I also sold some #GILD (10 shares) and purchased #QQQM (4 shares). The concept here is to sell some of my dividend stocks and buy a growth ETF.

This week, 44, is a big week for earnings, as some of the MAG 7 stocks are scheduled to release earnings this week. Based on what happens with the MAG 7 earnings, it will be a trick-or-treat type week. As for my portfolio, week 43 was a good week making me about $400 in option trading profits. I'm looking to see if this week will produce several hundred dollars in options premiums!

It is hard to see my daily trades to see the pattern of what I have been selling and what I have been buying. To make it easier, I filtered my Excel's PIVOT table to show this data:

The common theme is I have been selling mostly "boring #dividend stocks" and replacing them with some higher-risk growth stocks/ETFs. You can see that I added #PLTR, #WING, #BYRN, #IBIT, and #QQQM recently.

Week 44 passive dividends $175

This week's #dividend is going to be around $175. However, last week I sold some shares of BMY earlier because I knew I was going to get the dividend this week. As long as this was after the Ex-Dividend Date, it has no impact on what dividends are coming to me.
