IOTA Yay or Nay?

in #iota7 years ago

I just learned about IOTA coin while doing some researching. I understand that it was released in 2015 as an open source distributed ledger protocol that goes beyond the blockchain through its invention of blockless tangles. Its " is a quantum-resistant Directed Acyclic Graph (DAG), whose digital currency 'iota' has a fixed money supply with zero inflationary cost."
Now Im not much of a crypto guru to understand exactly what that means, but I can understand that its decentralized and I guess running on its on accord if you will. Maybe some you that are well versed in crypto can share your thoughts on IOTA and if its a sustainable project. Will it be difficult for non techi people to utilize or will it develop into a more user friendly platform?
Please share your thoughts in detail. Would you buy it? Why or Why Not?IOTA.jpg

The main appeal of IOTA is the zero cost transactional fees which allow for microtransactions between devices. One can imagine your phone talking to a cash register and paying for your groceries with IOTA simply with a simple press of the button. I will admit that from what I've seen the infrastructure is in it's very early stage, but I think that for an altcoin, this seems like a top-tier altcoin.

I have a complete yes for it, then there are no fees and they don't have the scaling problem. Also, there is no mining needed. And I think the mining it is not really Ecologically. So it won't exist in the future.
Wonder what you guys think.

I'm no expert, but just reading about the potential applications longer-term I would definitely say Yay
