Movie producers could start uploading their work to DTube themselves, until then the demand will be fulfilled by others.
I'm not saying I'm okay with this, but pirated torrent has been around since the start of internet and is still big part of it today. Big companies have tried to fight it and they've lost time after time.
But until DTube, your downloaded movie could had contained viruses or malware, now the viewing experience is just like in youtube and the uploader gets rewarded also. Is it surprise we're seeing pirated content come to DTube? This is just the start... Believe me.
Torrenting is one thing, publishing copyrighted movies publicly while making money from it is begging for the MPAA to start sueing. This is a blogging platform, not a cinema. If DTube don't do anything about this, they'll be in for some big trouble.
If Steemit or Dtube gets taken down because of MPAA, the blockchain isn't worth our time in my opinion. Might as well use youtube and traditional services already available. Just like with torrenting, those who host and download do so knowing the risks. Same applies here.
So better make it disabled now before it gets out of hand. Clearly it will.
Doesn't a decentralized platform as DTube make it legal??
Of course not.

Also, Steemit is a blogging platform, you're right on that. Steem blockchain is something different. Just to clarify.
Did you know that the guy who developed Napster is behind Spotify by the way? Just interesting tidbit that rarely gets mentioned.
