De acuerdo con nuevos hallazgos en el código del firmware de la bocina HomePod, la cámara frontal del iPhone 8 integrará reconocimiento facial que se usará como método de autorización de Apple Pay. Esto sería así dado que Touch ID, integrado en el botón de Inicio, desaparecería del iPhone 8.
El rumor más fuerte relacionado al nuevo iPhone, llamado informalmente iPhone 8, es que los biseles desaparecerán y se llevan consigo el botón de Inicio característico de la parte inferior frontal del celular de Apple. Ante esto, surgió la duda de qué sustituirá al lector de huellas para desbloquear el celular y autorizar transacciones e inicios de sesión.
